These machines perform a double flank test with a Master Gear (pinion)
on racks.
The FRENCO RWL devices are ideal for a quick and uncomplicated check of gear quality using the double flank rolling test method. This involves carrying out a rolling test with a master gear (pinion) on gear racks. The devices enable precise control of the gear quality and record the "Rise and Fall" rolling curve, including the nominal curve and tolerance range. The "rack gain" characteristic value is used to determine the maximum and minimum gear ratio. The measurement results are conveniently analysed using the FRENCO ZSM software, which enables comprehensive analysis and documentation of the test results.
The horizontal slide enables precise movement of the workpiece during measurement. The workpiece is clamped pneumatically, ensuring a secure hold. An electric motor moves the slide along the desired measuring path, while a slip clutch limits the feed force and thus prevents mechanical overload.
The measuring tower contains all the measuring systems required for the test. A measuring probe records the vertical stroke of the tower, while an angle measuring system precisely measures the set angle of the pinion. This combination enables the movements and angular positions to be recorded precisely during the test process and thus forms the basis for reliable measurement results.
